African Clean Energy (ACE) is a B-Corp certified company operating primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. ACE manufactures and distributes their solar-biomass clean energy system, the ACE One to households living on as little as $2/day who lack access to basic clean energy. Unlike the traditional open-fire cookstoves on which ACE customers are accustomed to cooking, the ACE one produces a smokeless flame, protecting its users from harmful household air pollution. The solar panel charges the ACE One as well as generating electricity to the USB ports, so customers can plug in the lamp attachment or their phones to charge, saving them a lot of money on their costly electricity expenses.
